Eden Equipment is looking for a highly organized, detail orientated, and dynamic production shift supervisor for our largest manufacturing line that builds the world’s best (in our opinion) filter cartridges.

We are a growing manufacturer of industrial filtration products with a strong need for a experienced production supervisor for our recently re-tooled and re-organized manufacturing facility.

Job Summary & Key Accountabilities

Lead a multi-level production team of 8-10 direct reports working across 4 manufacturing centers under the guidance of 4 manufacturing center team leads (Tech II) who are also your direct reports. Responsible for utilization of approx. $5m+ in capital equipment. Our factory currently operates a single shift (7:30am – 3:30pm) with opportunities to expand. Eden operates a production strategy of high throughput and lean WIP with the goal to keep lead-times low.

Maintains inventory controls by verifying work center reporting, performing stock counts, and verifying materials are correctly distributed to work centers. Ensures safe and clean manufacturing environment by keeping workstations neat and well organized. Sets a good example of safety for other shop and warehouse personnel.

Best practice oriented: Able to quickly evaluate & implement best-practice processes improvements so Manufacturing Operations are accurate, repeatable, dependable and scalable. Ability to work towards and effectively communicate production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, and costs). Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station or team area.

Responsible for manufacturing line operations and efficiency measured by on-time delivery, quality, and cost (cycle time and overtime). Set’s production priorities, performs capacity planning, implements level loading strategies, and headcount assessments. Hire, train, and develop manufacturing personnel. Proven strong team building and personnel development experience.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular use hands and limbs to handle and reach physical objects on industrial racking both from the ground as well as from OSHA approved ladders and mechanical/hydraulic lifts. Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs. with mechanical assistance such as pallet jacks and forklifts. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. On your feet most of the day. Exposure to moderate noise levels from machines and compressors.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.


Formal Education

Associates degree in technical discipline or high school diploma with equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 7-10 years production leadership experience preferred. 4+ years of experience managing teams of people in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading manufacturing operations in a ISO 9001 certified facility a plus. Development and Implementation of standardized work Instructions used in production.
  • Experience and familiarity with industrial scale manufacturing of textiles, injection molded products, or component assembly preferred. Working knowledge of MRP/ERP software such at NetSuite.
